Earl

Andre Earl – President

Andre Earl manages the day-to-day operations, finance and safety of Seaport Intermodal’s terminals, and is also the visionary that guides the company’s future direction. He has been involved in the field of Intermodal Transportation since 1980. Andre helped launch Cooney Intermodal in Montreal in 1994. Four years later, he was involved in the launch of Rollex Intermodal, located on the suburban south shore of Varennes, Quebec. He was also responsible for the implementation and development of Transport Transpel in Boucherville, Quebec.

In 2002, Maersk Canada hired Mr. Earl to launch a Canadian terminal operation that included facilities in Montreal and Toronto called Bridge Terminal Transport Inc. These two business operations were sold to Rouge River Capital in 2009 and the company was renamed Seaport Intermodal Inc.

Udayan

Udayan Purushothaman – VP of Finance

Udayan Purushothaman is the Vice President of Finance at Seaport Intermodal. In this capacity, he leads the Seaport finance team and coordinates company financial planning & reporting, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensures company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Udayan joined Seaport in 2011 and brings more than 20 years of industry experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining Seaport, Udayan held finance positions of increasing responsibilities including Finance manager, Director of Accounting and Controller. Udayan is a holder of various accounting designations like CGA, CPA (US) and CIMA (UK) in addition to a Masters degree in Economics and Bachelors degree in Mathematics.

Alex Cardin – VP Operations

Alex Cardin is the Vice President Operations of Seaport Intermodal’s Toronto facility. In this capacity, he leads the Toronto team of dispatchers and coordinators, managing both line haul and local dispatch lanes.

Alex began his career in transportation in the summer of 2001. As a student, he worked for Bridge Terminal Transport Canada during the summer months for four years. Upon graduating university, he returned to BTT Canada where he continued part-time until landing a full-time position with BTT in the United States.

Over the next three years, Alex worked at several different terminals in the South Eastern United States, spending much of this tenure in Savannah, GA. Alex later returned to Toronto and has been with Seaport Intermodal since September of 2009.

Arghi

Arghi Yaqeen – VP Sales

Arghi Yaqeen is the vice president of sales with a focus on business development for Seaport and Harlyn. Arghi’s sales experience and strong operational background well positions her to develop customer specific strategies to meet their logistical requirements.

Arghi began her carrier in shipping with Maersk Canada in 1995. She held various supervisory positions at Maersk’s head office in Toronto managing import and export customer service, bookings and equipment control.

In 2001, Maersk acquired Safmarine Container Line and appointed Arghi to set-up operations and assist in the integration of Safmarine with the Maersk group of companies. In 2004, Arghi accepted a position with Maersk as a business development representative in Montreal, focusing her responsibilities on key global accounts. She then transferred to Toronto in 2006 accepting a position with BTT Canada, (owned by Maersk at the time) as Operations Supervisor.

In 2007, Arghi was appointed General Manager of Sales for BTT Canada. In 2009, when BTT Canada was acquired by Seaport, she accepted the position of Terminal Manager for Seaport’s Montreal facility.

In 2013, Seaport acquired Harlyn Transport and appointed Arghi as Vice President of Sales for both companies.
